Mainstreet Radio’s Erin Galbally looks into divorce in the Hmong communtity. Some Hmong say it's allowing women in particular to escape difficult marriages. But traditionalists worry about the long-term impact of the new trend on Hmong culture.

Women have much more autonomy in U.S. society and are less willing to accept the roles assigned by traditional Hmong culture. Many Hmong women now work outside the home and enjoy the economic independence this brings, and young adults in the Hmong community are wresting with these issues.
