The city of Minneapolis is planning to install surveillance cameras in the downtown area that will monitor activity on streets and sidewalks. The Target Corporation donated the money for the cameras. Councilmember Gary Schiff, who represents the ninth Ward was one of four council members who voted against accepting the gift and installing the cameras.
