The Mayor of Minnetonka is back home this morning after a trip to Washington where she spoke about the budget challenges facing US cities. Mayor Karen Anderson participated in a summit convened by the National League of Cities. She and other analysts considered the way federal fiscal policy is affecting state and local budgets. Many cities are facing deficits, and as a result, are making cuts and raising fees or taxes. Mayor Anderson is the former president of the National League of Cities, and she joins us now. That is Minnetonka Mayor Karen Anderson. She is the former president of the National League of Cities.
