Tonight the Roseau Rams boys high school hockey team plays host to Warroad in one of Minnesota's most celebrated sports rivalries. I am in the Roseau Memorial Arena where the game will be played. The players who will take the ice tonight are at the end of their youth hockey careers here in Roseau. Most of them have been playing together since they were first able to skate. Joining us now to discuss youth hockey is Dick Johnson who played for the Rams in the 1950s and has been the coach of the Roseau pee wees for over 35 years. I am also joined by Stacey Omdahl who is one of the unsung heroes of youth hockey, the moms who get the kids to the rink when they need to be there.
