The Dalai Lama will arrive in Minnesota this afternoon (MONDAY) for his first ever visit to the state. The Buddhist monk is the leader of the Tibetan government in exile and is known throughout the world for his nonviolent philosophies. His visit is significant for the Tibetan population in Minnesota, which is the second largest in the country after New York. Thinly Woser (TIN lee WOE ser) is the President of the Tibetan Association of Minnesota and the co-chair for the visit.
