The United Way of Minneapolis Area is giving over $450,000 to launch a metro-wide affordable housing initiative. The money will be used to produce and maintain affordable housing units and to educate the public about the issue. The lack of affordable housing for people with low and moderate incomes has been an issue of growing concern in the metro area.
