The campaign for control of the state legislature got an unofficial kick-off today. As nineteen Independence Party hopefuls filed their candidacies with the Secretary of State's office, House Republicans introduced their slate of potential freshman lawmakers. Some legislators say the 2000 race could have impacts throughout the next decade. Minnesota Public Radio's Michael Khoo reports.
