It's been ten months since welfare reform went into effect across Minnesota. This week Minnesota Public Radio is examining the impact of the changes, and what their long-term effects are likely to be. Welfare recipients saw their world change overnight with the advent of welfare reform, but the change has been almost as dramatic for the workers in the trenches who administer the system. Minnesota Public Radio's Chris Roberts spoke with two veteran financial workers for Ramsey County. Both say their lives are much busier since reform was implemented, but they have slightly different views on whether the new system will move people into the workplace for good.
