A House Committee today voted to change the way the Twin Cities area governs itself. The House Local Government and Metroplitan Affairs Committee okayed legislation that would let metro-area voters elect the Metropolitan Council, a body many say has become too powerful and too unaccountable. Minnesota Public Radio's Martin Kaste reports.
