00:00--:--

MPR’s Perry Finelli interviews August Nimtz, History Lesson, professor of Political Science at University of Minnesota about the background of the tensions between Malcolm X and Louis Farrakhan and allegations against Qubilah Shabazz, Malcolm X’s second daughter, for trying to hire a hitman to assassinate Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan.

At just four years old, Shabazz witnessed her father's 1965 assassination. Some believed hostile rhetoric and writings by Farrakhan were indirectly responsible for Malcolm X's death.

Nimtz is a longtime activist in the local Black community.
