December 23, 2016 - When Minnesota poet, author and musician Bill Holm sat down to write a Christmas letter, he sorted through a lifetime of memories. He was born in 1943 and died in 2009 at the age of 65. Holm put some of these memories in a book he wrote in 1997 called "Faces of Christmas Past." That same year Minnesota Public Radio produced this "Voices of Minnesota" special, with Bill Holm reading from his own book.

March 9, 2009 - Several hundred people attended funeral services for writer Bill Holm Sunday in Minneota. Holm lived most of his life in the small southwest Minnesota community. Minneota mayor Paul Larson says Holm touched many residents in town through his writing and community service.

March 1, 2009 - Funeral arrangements are in the works for Minnesota author Bill Holm. Holm died last week at age 65. He was born on a farm in Northern Minnesota and taught English at Southwest Minnesota State University for 27 years before retiring in 2007. Longtime friend and pastor Stephen Rasmusson says they expect overflow crowds. Organizers are working on a way to broadcast the ceremony remotely for those who cannot fit into the small church.
