Players admit it's tough to sell tickets for what may be a lame duck season.
January 29, 1997 - MPR's Laura McCallum reports on the The Minnesota Twins nearing the end of a statewide road trip to more than 70 communities across the state. The Twins' Winter Caravan has been around for years as a way to thank fans and stir up support, but this year it's much larger than in the past…and with it concerns over the possibility of pitching a proposed new Twins stadium to captive student audiences during a school visit.
September 20, 1991 - MPR’s Bill Wareham discusses the uneasiness setting in for Twins fans as the team loses ground on their lead in American West pennant race. The team has lost six of the last ten games.
April 20, 1990 - MPR’s Bill Wareham reports on the Minnesota Twins home opener in a year that has a strange feeling to it. The season is starting late due to player lockout and usually strong Twins slugging and fielding has been subpar. It is the first home opener since the Twins moved to Minnesota that has not sold out.
