• Minnesota Supreme Court hears arguments over rejected absantee ballots

  MPR’s Elizabeth Stawicki reports on arguments to the Supreme Court regarding ejected absantee ballots. An attorney for Norm Coleman's re-election campaign told Minnesota Supreme Court justices that the idea the estimated 1600 rejected absentee ballots in the Senate recount fit neatly into a category is an illusion. The court heard arguments on the campaign's petition to stop counties from adding wrongly rejected absentee ballots to their recount totals; or at least set uniform rules as to how counties should open and count those ballots.

• Judge rules that Minnesota Twins don't have a binding lease at the Metrodome

  MPR’s Tom Scheck reports on Hennepin County District Court Judge Charles Porter's ruling which states the Twins' lease at the Metrodome expired in 2003 and the team can leave at the end of the upcoming season.

  MPR's Elizabeth Stawicki reports that three Twin Cities-based news organizations are asking the Minnesota Court of Appeals to keep open the option for access to documents filed as part of the lawsuit to keep the Minnesota Twins in the Metrodome.

• The battle to save the Minnesota Twins lands in the court room

  MPR’s Tom Scheck reports that Hennepin County District Judge Harry Crump says he'll announce soon whether he'll require the Twins to play baseball in the Metrodome next year (2002). Crump heard arguments from the the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission, the Attorney General's office, and the Minnesota Twins.
